Gift Ideas for the Glamper in You Life – Part 1
Christmas is right around the corner and if you love glamping, or you’re buying for someone who does, then a gift they can use or which reminds them of their love of the outdoors with all mod cons, will be well received and we have some great gift ideas for you.
If you want to buy something that can enhance their glamping experience why not buy a fire pit with hanging grill or a cooking tripod? These practical gifts will allow them to create a glamping experience even on a standard campsite (as long as contained fires are permitted) and at home. The fire pits with suspended grills and hotplates are easy to use and to control the heat of the fire on; so they’re especially useful for campfire novices and those who want to take the easy option now and then. The fire pit/grill combinations are very versatile, allowing the cooking parts to be removed so you can build up the fire afterwards for warmth and atmosphere. As a Christmas gift these are great because you can use them to mull wine for an outdoor social gathering and then build up the fire.
Bunting and solar powered fairy lights are another great glamping gift. They provide cuteness and a boho ambience to a glampsite as well as the all-important light around the campsite. Not only are they useful for glamping trips but these can also be used at home in the garden too; so if you wanted to glamp at home you’ll have all the accessories that make glamping what it is. If your kids love glamping why not invest in some simple indoor glamping tents? These are simple A frame structures with fabric coverings which are used indoors (perhaps in a conservatory or large living room) to create a sleepover with a difference. As these fold up when not in use they can be easily stowed under a bed or beside a wardrobe and brought out when needed. Add throw pillows and comfy blankets for a superior indoor glamping sleepover.
Enamel mugs make a great gift, especially if they are personalised. With thousands of designs available online you can get a personalised enamel mug with their name on it or go for one with their favourite hobby, animal or slogan on it; or simply choose one from the many cute designs available. Collapsible wine glasses and tumblers make fantastic gifts; they can be used for picnics and a get together in the park or beach where glass is not advisable. If you’re worried about toppling your vino, invest in some wine glass holders; it is a long stem with a curved top that you slip your glass into – just simply push the stem into the ground. These are portable and don’t take up much room, so they’re a real boon on a glamping trip and they help save your back from reaching down to the ground every time you want to take a sip.
For a really practical gift why not give luxury sleeping bags? There are some lovely high end versions out there with gorgeous printed fabric and to add another layer of luxury how about a silk liner. Most sleeping bags are made with man-made fabrics which can be a little sweaty in the height of summer, so a luxury cotton one will help you keep cool in the summer and warm in the winter with no danger of waking up clammy. For a real low-effort option try Bundle Beds, which are all-in-one self-inflating mattresses and bedding – perfect for glamping and sleepovers.
If you want to blow the budget why not buy your own bell tent or tipi? These are not cheap, but if you’re really keen on glamping they are worth the investment, allowing you to glamp in style on any campsite with your own luxury accommodation. Some have optional log burners which make autumn and winter glamping a possibility, and it could be a nice idea for the whole family to pitch in to purchase one for everyone to use, a really family Christmas present.
