Glamping for Two – An Xmas Gift for a Memorable Valentines
All round 2020 has been a tough year, but especially so for couples who would have normally have spent a significant portion of their week out at work, who are now confined to the house with their partner (and children). Being forced into spending more time with each other, with the spotlight being shone on all aspects of the relationship, has created a make or break situation for a lot of couples. By Christmas, we’ll all have spent more time than we’d have chosen stuck at home and the prospect of more of the same for the rest of winter stretching out in front of us could be proving hard to bear.
Gifting a glamping break at Christmas is the perfect restorative for your relationship and it gives you both something to look forward to. If you were to book now you should be able to find availability for sites around Valentine’s Day; a great choice for a relationship refresher. Glamping is at its best when done as a couples endeavour – while it’s lovely to have the kids around, it’s also lovely to occasionally have some prime couple time, so arrange childcare and get your glamping break booked and ready.
When choosing where to go think about places that are significant for you and your partner. You may have proposed while on a glamping holiday, so the perfect choice is to return to that site and the same accommodation, if it is free. If your partner is the adventurous type, then why not try somewhere completely new? You know which places they would like to go, because it’s quite likely you’ve had to amend your 2020 holiday plans. This disappointment can be the perfect breeding ground for ideas of new sites to try and even new activities – perhaps you’d love to try dry slope skiing, or horseback riding in the New Forest? Maybe you have a particular penchant for red squirrels, or a love of nature in all its raw glory? Seek out places where these desires can be fulfilled and book glamping accommodation nearby.
When the time comes to present your gift you’ll have to get a bit creative with something to open, as a glamping break booked for February isn’t something you can physically give. Why not type up a love letter including the details of your glamping getaway and give that to your partner? You might even give them something they can use on the trip as a clue for the main present, or even draw or paint a picture of the place you are going to take them. You could even give them a Valentine’s Day card at Christmas as a clue to the date you’ve booked to go away.
If the idea of glamping in February turns you cold, consider looking for specialist accommodation, such as a tree house, yurt or safari tent with a log burner. This will help keep you cosy on the cold nights and it adds a touch of romance to the break, as there’s nothing more romantic than cuddling up by the fire with a hot chocolate and the love of your life.
We hope you find the perfect place to take your partner; we’re certainly looking forward to getting away for a few days with our nearest and dearest.
